    Abstract

One of the challenges that Smart Home users confront is optimising the energy consumption of Smart Home devices. The end-user of a Smart Home is unsure when or how to optimise the household's energy consumption efficiently. This situation may increase the country's energy demand and a corresponding acceleration of the greenhouse effect. Additionally, when users run the NSAs unevenly, their energy consumption may surpass the maximum permissible power consumption limit, This situation may lead to a short blackout in Smart Homes. To address such a challenges, hence, this project is to build a mobile application that will enable Smart Home users to control their Smart Home appliances energy consumption effectively. A scheduling task based on Swarm Intelligence will monitor and optimise energy consumption based on human activities. Additionally, this project will examine the notion of Swarm Intelligence in greater detail and the effectiveness with which it achieves the objectives when applied to the scheduling task. Finally, this project will outline the methodology for development, overall flow, system requirements needed, and overall work result.
