    Abstract

This project is about the development of a finder mobile application for boba tea that is named Boba Space. It is based on the Android platform which focuses on the Malaysia market. As boba tea became a trend nowadays, the number of boba tea shops also increased in Malaysia. However, since there are a variety of brands in the current market, the newly introduced brands would have difficulty in being explored to the market. It would also be difficult for the boba tea lovers to discover the different boba tea shops without a finder application. Based on the research conducted, one of the problems found on the existing boba tea finder application in the market is the outdated information provided. It is because many of these existing applications are having an absence on the shop owner management side developments. Besides, the existing finder application has only included a few dominant brands inside and the feature provided is not interactive for users. Hence, this mobile application is developed to solve these problems by adding the owner’s management side instead of only the boba tea lovers or its identity as a guest user. This project also aims to create an environment that can include as many of the boba tea shops and brands inside, increase the awareness of the public with the information of boba tea and provide the extra feature that can increase the user experience. By the end of this project, the owners can perform the shop and product information management in this application for exploring themselves to the guest user. Meanwhile, the guest users are able to obtain the latest information on the interested shops and products from time to time. Apart from the basic features, the interactive features are also introduced in this application which are the Bingo Chart features and Random Recommendation features as the entertainment for the users. Both sides of these users can enjoy this application in a secure environment as the authentication is also available to promise the user privacy.
