    Abstract

The aim of this research is to investigate the factors influencing employee retention in the hospitality industry within Klang Valley, specifically focusing on work-life balance, work environment, employee compensation, career opportunities and employee empowerment. A set of 250 questionnaires were distributed to gather responses from participants. Statistical Packages for Social Science (SPSS) version 29 was employed to statistically measure and analyze the collected data. Upon completion of the analysis, the researchers identified that all the variables exhibited a significant relationship with factors impacting employee retention in the hospitality industry in Klang Valley. Notably, among the independent variables, work environment demonstrated the most robust and significant relationship with the dependent variable. The research targets employees working in the hospitality industry in Klang Valley. The concluding section of this chapter addresses the limitations encountered during the study, and corresponding recommendations are provided. These recommendations offer effective insights and guidance for future research endeavors in the field of employee retention in the hospitality industry.
