Shanmugavel, Magentharan (2024) Unilock: Revolutionizing campus storage with IoT smart locker system. Final Year Project, UTAR.
Abstract
Through the introduction of a cutting-edge IoT-based Smart Locker System, the UniLock project seeks to transform campus storage systems. It is time for an organizational change toward a more advanced and efficient locker solution because traditional locker systems have long been challenged by security weaknesses and operational inefficiencies. With the use of cutting-edge technologies like Python, Raspberry Pi, and Firebase as well as specialized parts like the electronic latch, relay circuit, and MC-38 magnetic sensor, UniLock claims to provide a holistic solution to these problems. The system's objectives are to improve security, simplify locker maintenance, and give administrators and users useful information. UniLock has an intuitive mobile application for easy engagement, multi-factor authentication for increased protection, and real-time monitoring tools that let managers see trends in locker utilization. To further enhance user convenience and ease of use, UniLock has an audio reply to system and an embedded QR code scanner. With UniLock, campus storage technology has advanced significantly, and universities may now have a full solution to meet their changing demands in the digital era.
