Abstract
This study was to explore the dual effects of game immersion on cognition and reality perception, focusing on how immersive gameplay can enhance players’ concentration and memory while also faced the perceptual distortions such as time loss, spatial disorientation, and blurred reality boundaries. This study was conducted alongside with the development of Rempit in the Night, a horror game inspired by Malaysian local folklores and featuring with Malaysian element culture that designed as part of a product-based Final Year Project.
