Abstract
This project deals with a growing need in educational technology – integrated mobile campus apps. Mobile educational apps bring social platforms, and personalized content delivery made to improve university life. As mobile technology use grows in education, students face big problems like social platforms, and broken access to academic resources. There are three main problems for this project – weak social interaction, and poor content discovery. Most campus apps do not give a full mix social tools, and personalized content, so there is still a big gap in making one complete mobile solution for university life. Research and literature reviews were done to study mobile campus app development, social systems, and content personalization methods. The reviews of current tools like recommendation methods, cross-platform frameworks, and login systems are in the literature review section. After looking at the good and bad points of 19 academic papers and current products, a full picture of the challenges and chances for mobile educational apps became clear. The solution is to make one mobile app using cross-platform tools to help FICT students with social links and finding academic resources. The final app will use the Flutter cross-platform framework, Node.js REST API with JWT login for safe user control, MySQL for storing all data together, and machine learning for personalized content suggestions. This will make one platform that connects, involves, and informs the FICT student group.
