    Abstract

    This proposal presents the development of an IoT simulation framework aimed at advancing smart home applications. Traditional smart home development often requires physical hardware, which can be costly and time-consuming. To address these challenges, the purpose of this project is to focus on emulating Internet of Things (IoT) devices in a virtual environment, allowing developers to test and refine a smart home system without the need for physical deployment. The simulation will encompass key smart home features such as lighting control, air conditioning control, curtain control, humidity regulation, and security management. By enabling real-time interaction between virtual devices, the framework will replicate the behavior of an actual smart home, offering insights into device communication, performance, and potential issues. The simulation will also allow users to remotely monitor and control the system, mimicking real-world IoT applications. The project scope includes the development of the simulation using Node-RED, MQTT, and Twitter, with a focus on creating an intuitive interface and seamless interaction between devices. By offering a flexible and scalable environment, this IoT simulation framework will contribute to the development and optimization of smart home technologies, reducing costs and improving system reliability. The goal of this project is to facilitate innovation in the smart home sector by providing developers with a robust and accessible toolset for IoT experimentation.
