Abstract
Women's safety remains a pressing concern worldwide, particularly in public and semi-public spaces where immediate assistance is not always accessible. Current IoT-based wearable safety devices offer a degree of protection but suffer from critical limitations, especially in terms of battery reliability and real-time responsiveness. This project proposes a station-based IoT safety system that eliminates dependency on wearable devices and ensures uninterrupted operation. The system comprises a fixed emergency station equipped with an alarm, visual indicators, and a portable GPS-enabled tracker, all integrated through real-time communication using Raspberry Pi, TTGO T-Beam, and Telebot. By addressing key drawbacks in existing solutions, such as battery constraints, sensor reliability, and usability, this device offers a more dependable and accessible form of safety support. Strategic placement in high-risk areas like universities and office campuses ensures that women can quickly seek help in emergencies without relying on personal gadgets. The outcome is a sustainable and scalable infrastructure that strengthens public safety measures for women through the effective application of embedded systems and IoT technologies.
