    Abstract

    A standalone energy generating and storing hybrid system involving flexible solar photovoltaics (Solar PV) and flexible silver coated textile coated with activated carbon electric double layer capacitor (EDLC) is built. The use of 3D porous textile structure as electrodes allows more activated carbon to stick onto the surface of the electrodes and provide a bigger surface area to store charges. The silver coated textile based EDLC in this study shows areal capacitance of 2.89
