    Abstract

    The topic of this research study is “A study on preferred transportation mode among elderly in Klang Valley”. This research study covered with five chapters, which are research overview, literature review, research methodology, data analysis, and discussion, conclusion, and implications. This research study would investigate the preferred transportation mode among elderly in Klang Valley and determine the four factors affecting the elderly choice in the transportation mode. In the result, all four independent variables which inclusive of cost savings, convenient, trip time and lifestyle. The method that used in research was quantitative research. The primary data were collected through questionnaire. The sample size of this study is 110 respondents. For the research instrument, there are two sections conducted in the questionnaire, which demographic of the respondents along with section B. Next, there are two data analysis such as descriptive analysis, and reliability analysis, will be carried out as well. Lastly, the research will list out the limitation and recommendation for the future researcher so that this would help the future researcher in their study. It can serve as a guide for the future researcher to have deeper understanding on the preferred transportation mode among elderly in Klang Valley.
