    Abstract

    This research is based on the challenges faced by English language practical teachers when conducting their online lessons during the covid-19 pandemic. This study involved 14 English practical teachers who underwent their teaching practice in the whole state of Perak. In this research, researcher conducted qualitative research through interviews. This study also uses thematic analysis to categorize and code all themes found through the data. Based on the data collected, there were several themes found and few of them were related to internet issue, technology and students’ responses. Besides that, based on the challenges faced by English language practical teachers when conducting online lessons, there were also several solutions for those issues. The only downside of the data collected was that the data were based on one state which is Perak rather than the whole of Malaysia.
